She/Her

Katie is a lifelong learner and educator with over ten years experience in the teaching and training world. Her passion is creating sustainable change through empowerment and access. 

She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education from Western Michigan University; teaching High School and Middle School in Detroit and Pontiac before discovering her passion for macro level change. 

She received her Masters in Social Work with a concentration of Innovation in Community, Policy, and Leadership from Wayne State University. Katie currently has her LLMSW license and works at Best Buy Health as a Trainer in Virtual Care. She supports training on day to day tasks as well as developing and implementing curriculum geared towards social and emotional health.

Katie lives in Ferndale with her husband Julian and their turtle. In her free time she enjoys a good novel, long walks, board games, and spending time with friends and family.
