Detroit CHEMpreneurIST is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a love for science and entrepreneurship among Detroit's youth. Through our after-school programs, summer camps, and community events, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and thinkers.

As an Assistant Educator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and educational programming to students. You'll work alongside our team to facilitate hands-on science experiments, entrepreneurial projects, and community events. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education, science, and making a difference in their community.

  • Assist in planning and executing after-school programs, ensuring a fun, safe, and educational environment for students.

  • Facilitate hands-on activities related to science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

  • Work collaboratively with the CHEMpreneurIST team to develop curriculum and educational materials.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down program materials and equipment.

  • A passion for education, science, and entrepreneurship.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of various ages and backgrounds.

  • Availability to work during after-school hours, and/or weekends, as required by programming needs.

  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring youth is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing program needs.

  • Commitment to the mission and values of Detroit CHEMpreneurIST.
