Detroit CHEMpreneurIST is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a love for science and entrepreneurship among Detroit's youth. Through our after-school programs, summer camps, and community events, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and thinkers.
As an Assistant Educator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and educational programming to students. You'll work alongside our team to facilitate hands-on science experiments, entrepreneurial projects, and community events. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education, science, and making a difference in their community.

Assist in planning and executing after-school programs, ensuring a fun, safe, and educational environment for students.

Facilitate hands-on activities related to science, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Work collaboratively with the CHEMpreneurIST team to develop curriculum and educational materials.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.

Assist in setting up and breaking down program materials and equipment.

A passion for education, science, and entrepreneurship.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of various ages and backgrounds.

Availability to work during after-school hours, and/or weekends, as required by programming needs.

Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring youth is preferred but not required.

Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing program needs.
