Did you know there's something called 'pH'? It's a way scientists measure how acidic or basic (also called alkaline) something is. The pH scale goes from 1 to 14. Things that have a low pH (like lemons and your stomach) are very acidic, while things with a high pH (like soap and bleach) are basic or alkaline. Water is right in the middle at 7 - we call this neutral.

Fun Fact! The pH of skin is 5.5. When we create skin care products, we have to think about pH.

The awesome thing is that these levels can change the color of certain dyes, and that's how pH test strips work! So next time when you're drinking tea or brushing your teeth, think about where they might land on the pH scale!
